My dream of writing started early in life with the push pull from my parents and grandparents who urged me to do what I wanted to do and give my best doing it. Go figure. I’ll bet they never thought my chosen career would’ve been writing. I'd even flip a coin that my brother and sister are surprised.
I achieved my first publication at the ripe old age of thirteen. Okay, so it wasn’t anything major, only school related, but that gave me my first taste of the thrill and excitement of publication. Since then, I’ve had fifteen poems published, as well as a “Career Resource Guide,” and a “Resumes for Success” manual.
Ooh, and did I tell you how I love to get into my character’s heads as they jump off the page and say, “write this scene in my point of view.” Pleeeze!!!! Or should I say my character’s get into my head? lol. Ultimately, my goal is for my readers to become my characters, see and feel what they do. I hope I don’t let you down.
I live in Tampa, Florida with my husband Joseph (Josie). Josie is my life and has been a major supporter of my writing. Literally. When I decided to write romantic fiction five years ago, he said do it. So he goes to work and I stay home writing. Geez, you got to love him. I have three grown sons, six grandchildren, and three four-legged children. I am a member of Romance Writers of America and my local RWA chapter, Tampa Area Romance Authors (TARA)
I’ve come a long way in my writing. The journey has been exciting, nerve-racking and tiring. But well worth it.
